MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Republican Presidential hopeful Ted Cruz made a campaign stop in Middle Tennessee Monday.
The Texas Senator spoke to an enthusiastic crowd at the Patterson Park Community Center in Murfreesboro.
About 1,000 people came out to see him, and a second space had to be opened because of the capacity crowd.
In his speech, he did not talk about fellow candidate Donald Trump, instead he said he wants to stick to the issues, and what he would do as President.
“The focus of our campaign is on reigniting the promise of America, getting back to common sense principles that build this nation. Free market principles and constitutional liberties that made America great,” said Senator Cruz.
Cruz spoke earlier in the day in Chattanooga and also made a stop in Franklin.
