NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Firefighters held a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new fire station in Nashville.

Mayor Dean joined other fire officials for the event at Station 19 on 26th Avenue North.

The new fire station has replaced the one that was built in the 1960's, and became too costly to maintain.

The $5.6 million project was designed to house seven Nashville fire vehicles.

Station 19 was the second to be built this year.
