According to Officials with the Wilson County Sheriff's Office, a worker with the Wilson County Road Commission was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after he was run over by an asphalt roller.
The incident happened Wednesday in the Gladeville area on Couchville Pike.
Deputies responded to the call at 8 a.m. Wednesday along with the Tennessee Highway Patrol and Wilson Emergency Management.
The worker, identified as 41-year-old William Parrish, suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Details of the incident were not released.The Tennessee Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
