NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man was forced to do push-ups while being robbed in Nashville.
It happened at the intersection of Hampton Street and West Trinity Lane.
Devonte Whetstone said the robber, Eric Ballard, punched him several times, cutting Whetstone's bottom. He then allegedly made Whetstone do push-ups while saying if he tried to pick up his bike he'd shoot him in the head.
Whetstone ran across the street to a Waffle House to call police. That's when he saw Ballard grab his bike and leave with it.
Ballard was later found on the bike on Avondale Circle headed toward Brick Church Pike. He was arrested without incident.
