HARTFORD, Tenn. (WTVF) — A rockslide has closed Interstate 40 at the Tennessee and North Carolina state line in Hartford.
It happened Friday night at exit 7 in North Carolina.
Both east and westbound lanes were closed so that crews can clear the debris. I-40E was shut down at exit 435 and 451 for all traffic and westbound lanes were shut down at exit 20. Drivers were rerouted to Interstate 81.
The road is expected to reopen around midnight.
