FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Folks in Franklin laced up their shoes and hit the streets to support a good cause.

It was the 7th Annual Best Buddies 5K put on by the Best Buddies Organization Saturday.

The group has helped people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by creating relationships, employment, and leadership development.

People of all ages came out for the run.

“It goes back to just valuing life in every form,” said David Adams, a runner. “Everybody deserves respect and everybody deserves to be included, so any way we can promote that, we're there.”

There was a cash prize for the top male and female runners.

The money raised from the event was set to go toward helping the Best Buddies mission.
