MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Tennessee Health Department announced the passing of Rutherford County Health Department Director Dana Garrett.
Garrett served the department for more than 20 years with her most recent position as the Rutherford County Director.
Health department officials said she was "a talented and devoted nurse, a passionate public health advocate and a respected leader in our organization as well as in her community. Our hearts and thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time."
