MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Rutherford County deputy was hit by a car while directing traffic.
The crash involved a semi-truck and a car on South Church Street at Savannah Ridge around 9 p.m.
According to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office, while the deputy was directing traffic around the crash scene, he was hit by a vehicle. His injuries were not life-threatening. He was treated and released from St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.
Tennessee Highway Patrol is still investigating the incident.
