Rutherford Co. Inmate Accused Of Nashville Murder

A Rutherford County inmate is expected to be booked in Nashville on a first-degree murder indictment.

According the Metro Nashville Police officials, 23-year-old Steven Ruff shot and killed 32-year-old Omar Lindsey at an apartment complex off Glastonbury Road.

Lindsey, 32, had driven a Chevrolet Impala to Parliament Apartments. He was fatally wounded after two men got into the car with him.

The two were later identified as Ruff and Kendre Shields. Shields, 21, was charged with first-degree murder in this case on May 11.

Ruff is presently jailed for aggravated assault in Rutherford County.
