NASHVILLE, Tenn. - An LGBT-friendly wedding expo was in town this weekend.

This was the second year the "Same Love, Same Rights" wedding expo came to Music City, but it was the first time same-sex couples could use the expo to plan for a legal ceremony.

The event gathered dozens of local wedding and travel businesses that have been LGBT-friendly.

"There's no awkwardness for couples to walk in as a couple knowing that the businesses are LGBT-friendly, and at that point the businesses are just excited and, ‘Congratulations, how can I help you?’" said Cindy Sproul, of Rainbow Wedding Network.

Organizers said after the Supreme Court decision in June, they saw a 50 percent increase in the number of couples registered to attend Sunday’s event.
