ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Robertson County school bus driver has resigned after being suspended holding a phone while behind the wheel.
A video showed the driver holding a cell phone while the bus is moving. In Tennessee, It is illegal to hold your phone in your hand while driving.
Robertson County Schools said immediately after being notified, the district's transportation office contacted the driver. When she was contacted, the bus was onsite, stationary and had no students on it.
The driver was suspended while the district reviews and investigates the video.
