Dickson County school bus found after being stolen from elementary school parking lot

DICKSON, Tenn. (WTVF) — A school bus was stolen in Dickson County from Oakmont Elementary School.

The Dickson County Emergency Management Agency said the bus was stolen, telling parents to not let their kids on the bus.

Bus #15-47 has a tag number of 3892GB. If you see it, call Dickson police at 615-446-8041.

Dickson County Schools officials said the bus was taken from the school parking lot and was spotted late Monday night near Tri-Star Natchez on Natchez Park Drive. The school district said registration and other documents were found in the parking lot of Tri-Star.

The bus was recovered Tuesday afternoon. Dickson County students started back to school on Monday.
