NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — when 10-year-old Minniana discovered fellow students had "Big brothers and big sisters" visiting them during school lunch, she decided she wanted one as well.
She talked to her mom and a call was made. It wasn't long, before Minniana and Jodi Claybaugh were a "Big" and "Little."
They were brought together, through Big Brothers Big Sisters Amachi program - a program geared toward children with an incarcerated parent or caretaker.
After extensive screening, the child and adult are connected, and find themselves spending quality time together.
Jodi, a newlywed, had always enjoyed being around kids, and thought she and Minniana could form a bond, and that's exactly what happened.
BBBS is always looking for more adults to become "Bigs" to a needy child.
