PORTLAND, Tenn. - The Sumner County Sheriff's Office and other emergency responders said they're still searching for a man considered to be armed and dangerous.
Sheriff's deputies had been searching the area of Oak Grove off of Dobbins Pike for Darrell Baskerville.
Baskerville was wanted for kidnapping and aggravated assault.
Officials with the sheriff's office said Baskerville kidnapped his ex-girlfriend earlier Friday, but she managed to get away by promising to come back. They said that he threatened to kill her and others if she didn't return.
They have been considering him armed and dangerous. Deputies and other crews had been using a K-9 unit, helicopter and 4-wheelers to search for him.
No further details have been released.
