A group of "heavily armed suspects" are no longer believed to be in the Nolensville area after an early-morning pursuit.
In a Facebook post, Nolensville Police said Metro officers were pursuing a stolen silver, 2004 Toyota into Nolensville around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday. However, the suspects' vehicle got away.
The department issued an alert to the public, asking them to remain vigilant. Authorities later posted an update, saying they don't believe the suspects are still in the area.
We wanted you to be aware in case they were, so you could take precautions in the early morning hours as you walked the dog, readied to leave your house, etc.
The five suspects may be involved in a series of armed robberies that happened Tuesday night, police said.
Police asked residents to report anything suspicious to 911.
