Crews pulled the body of a Chester County 19-year-old from the Tennessee River.

Reports stated Katelyn Campbell is believed to have fallen from a bridge late Saturday night, around midnight, in Decatur County. Her identity was released by her family.

According to Decatur County Sheriff Keith Byrd, three teenagers were walking across the Alvin C. York Bridge in Perryville when Katelyn reportedly fell into the water on the Perry County side.

Authorities have spoken to one of the other teens on the bridge, and he confirmed Katelyn fell.

Both Decatur and Perry County agencies conducted the investigation, and rescue crews from many different counties also assisted.

It’s believed Katelyn was wearing a white shirt and cutoff jean shorts when she fell in the river.

Katelyn’s family said this photo of her was taken last Friday when she turned 19 years old.

Her family has asked for prayers, and Katelyn’s little sister said they had plans to go to Chuck E Cheese’s next Saturday.
