Two armed suspects were on the run after an armed robbery at a Davidson County truck stop.
The robbery took place around 1:45 a.m. at the Pilot Gas Station at 6418 Centennial Boulevard in west Nashville.
Investigators with the Metro Nashville Police Department said one of the men was wearing all black, red shoes and a mask when one of them pulled out a gun and pressed it against the female clerk's back.
Witnesses said the second suspect acted as a lookout and wore a black hoodie, jeans and white shoes.
According to store managers, the suspects stole more than $2,100 from two registers.
Another clerk working at the time was on her break and said the accomplice knocked on her car window and told her to get out. Before she could respond, a customer pulled up and apparently prompted the suspects to flee the scene.
They fled in what was believed to be a gold 1990s Toyota Camry in the direction of Charlotte Pike.
The surveillance video was not immediately available.
