Search underway in Clarksville after vehicle crashes, goes into the Cumberland River

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — First responders in Clarksville are looking for anyone who may have been inside a vehicle that witnesses say went into the Cumberland River Tuesday night.

The vehicle reportedly left the roadway and entered the river near Riverside Drive and W. Washington Street near the RJ Corman Bridge.

Witnesses saw the vehicle crash and go into the river. No one was seen exiting the vehicle.

Multiple agencies are currently on the scene helping with the including Clarksville Fire and Police, along with the Montgomery County EMS and the Montgomery County Resque Squad.
