FRANKLIN COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — Franklin County EMA and Rescue announced in a Facebook post Sunday morning that they had responded to their second drowning in less than 48 hours.

Officials recovered the body of a 17-year-old boy after hours of searching in Tim's Ford Lake Friday night.

Saturday night rescue divers recovered the body of another 17-year-old boy, this time in the Reservoir on Mountain View Lane in Tracy City. The boy had been fishing with his dad and brother when their boat flipped.

The EMS crew used the tragedies as an opportunity to remind everyone to wear their life jackets when out on the water.
