Parents at Kipp Academy in Nashville have been warned after a violent threat.
A letter was sent home to parents explaining that a threat had been discovered, and that there was a security plan in place.
The plan includes metal-detecting wands and an increased police presence.
That letter informed parents if their child does not feel comfortable coming to school tomorrow, they will get an excused absence.
