NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Last week’s flooding has wreaked havoc on Nashville roadways and the Tennessee Department of Transportation needs your help spotting potholes.

Metro Public Works says this is shaping up to be the worst year for potholes – ever.

All the heavy rain has forced commuters to dodge potholes along interstates. Drivers on I-40 noticed a slowdown Tuesday morning as TDOT crews closed lanes to make repairs.

Since January 1, Metro Public Works has filled more than 6,000 potholes.

Four crews have been working 10-hours a day, five days a week on those repairs but they need your help.

To report potholes on Metro roads, call 615-862-5000. For state routes and interstates, call T-DOT at 615-350-4400.
