A semi crashed into a center median on Interstate 40 in Lebanon and hit the center column of the South Hartman Drive bridge.
The wreck happened around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, and initially the westbound lanes were shut down.
A bridge inspector with the Tennessee Department of Transportation inspected the bridge and deemed it safe.
Authorities said some fluids spilled out of the tractor trailer, including oil and diesel fuel, and hazmat hazardous materials cleanup crews were at the scene to clean up the fluids.
As of 4:45 p.m., the roadway was open, and only the left lane was blocked to westbound traffic.
Reports stated the roadway was clear by 6:30 p.m.
