Traffic near downtown Nashville has been delayed after a semi struck a retaining wall and spilled fuel onto Interstate 24.
The incident was reported around 4:30 a.m. Thursday in eastbound lanes between Shelby Avenue and the Silliman Evans Bridge.

The cause of the crash was unknown. It’s unclear if weather played a factor.
Police said the semi spilled about 25 gallons of diesel fuel onto the roadway.
The driver was not seriously hurt.
The scene was expected to be cleared by 7 a.m.
