THOMPSON’S STATION, Tenn. (WTVF) — A rollover crash involving a tractor trailer has closed westbound lanes of Interstate 840 in Williamson County.
The crash happened just after 3 a.m. Tuesday, between Carters Creek Pike and Pinewood Road, just west of Thompson’s Station.
Tennessee Highway Patrol officials say the semi driver was traveling west when he veered off the road and struck a guardrail and the end of a bridge. The truck overturned and caught fire.
Troopers say the driver was not hurt.
Westbound traffic is being diverted to alternate routes. The roadway isn’t expected to clear until at least 12:30 p.m.
