WASHINGTON D.C. (WTVF) — One of Senator Lamar Alexander's staff members has tested positive for COVID-19. The senator has tested negative but will self-quarantine.

Alexander's office says the staffer is recovering at home and doing well.

The senator has no symptoms and tested negative for the coronavirus last Thursday. He will self-quarantine in Tennessee and work remotely for two weeks.

Alexander will chair the Senate health committee hearing Tuesday morning by video-conference.
