NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A serial burglar and parolee who has been convicted of burglary at least 11 times between 1992 and 2018 was arrested again in Nashville Wednesday.

Metro police say Maurice Bowers, 55, was arrested this time for breaking into and stealing from three places throughout March, including Lipscomb University's theatre department. He also stole from Cosmetic Surgery PC on 21st Avenue South and Green Hills Oral Surgery on Hillsboro Pike

A Metro police detective saw Bowers' Chevrolet Monte Carlo on 12th Avenue South at Edgehill Avenue, and knew a car matching its description had been recorded by a surveillance camera at one of the burglarized businesses. Bowers was also recorded on surveillance video. He was stopped and arrested without incident.

Bowers is jailed in lieu of a $15,000 bond on three counts of burglary and three counts of theft. He last received a seven-year sentence in 2018 for two burglary convictions.
