Service Being Held For Murdered Nashville Clerk

A service is being held to honor the clerk who was fatally shot at a Nashville convenience store last week.

John Daniel Stevens was killed on May 2 inside the Exxon on Charlotte Pike. Officials have charged 28-year-old Daniel Clark and 15-year-old Trinity Quinn with criminal homicide in the case. 

A celebration of life service is being held at noon at West Harpeth Funeral Home.

Stevens, age 58, has been described as a “quiet but kind man.”

"He was the sweetest man, just very kind and just gentle with a sweet soul," one business owner in the area said.

The Navy Veteran will be interned at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery will full military honors at a later date.
