NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Three people were able to escape serious injuries after someone fired shots into their car overnight in north Nashville.
The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, near 33rd Avenue and Batavia Street.
Officials with Metro police said three people, two men and a woman, were riding in a car when an unidentified gunman started shooting at the passenger side.
The victims were able to make their way further north to Jefferson Street where they called police.
Authorities on the scene said the passenger side window was shattered in the shooting.
One of the men was grazed by the flying glass. He’s expected to make a full recovery.
Police remained on the scene while they conducted interviews with the victims.
There was no immediate word on possible suspects.
