In court documents, Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold has claimed he doesn't remember any domestic assault on his wife.

He claims to have been on the sleep drug Ambien. His attorneys have said the court should take that into consideration in his probation violation case.

A federal judge revoked Arnold's bond after he was arrested for domestic assault on Labor Day . The sheriff had been out of jail on bond in the JailCigs case.

He was taken into custody after the court rules he violated his probation, and moved to a detention facility in Kentucky.
