A search got underway overnight for three suspects who fired shots at officers during a violent home invasion in Nashville.
Metro Nashville Police officials said the suspects kicked in a door at a Hermosa Street home just after midnight Friday.
When they got on the scene, two suspects were still there and fired shots at an officer. However, that officer did not return fire.
One of the homeowners said they heard someone break into the residence and called police.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Police arrived on scene and K9 crews found the gun the suspects used at the home. it's still unclear if this was a random or targeted home invasion.
A description of the suspects was not available.
