Six sent to the hospital after WeGo bus crash

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Several people were injured in a crash involving a WeGo bus in Nashville.

Officials say the crash happened at 5 p.m. Thursday on Route 52. The bus was headed toward downtown when it was involved in a crash with a passenger vehicle that reportedly ran a stop sign at 3rd Avenue South and Mildred Shute Lane.

About 18-20 passengers were on board at the time. Five passengers and the bus driver were transported for medical attention.

Metro Nashville Police are investigating. WeGo Operations and Safety staff are fully cooperating with their ongoing investigation.
