Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation were called to a wooded area of Humphreys County after human remains were found.
The TBI said the skeletal remains were discovered in an area on Highway 13, near Interstate 40.
The remains appeared to be those of an adult and have been sent to the Medical Examiner’s office.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No additional details were available.
