Rutherford County Sheriff's deputies have responded to the scene of a possible homicide in Smyrna near Almaville.
Investigators responded to the unattended death of a 49-year-old man at 388 one mile Lane around 2 p.m. Friday.
A large police presence blocked a portion of Pleasant Run Road for more than five hours, and the home was taped off with police tape, while officers investigate.
According to officials any unattended death in Rutherford County is investigated as a homicide until proven otherwise.
