When you think about back-to-school supplies you may think backpacks or pencils. But what about shoes? For many families experiencing poverty, buying new shoes or new clothing just isn't possible.
"We want to disrupt the cycle of poverty by providing shoes and clothing around the world," said Tiffany Turner, Outreach Coordinator for Soles4Souls.
"Soles4Souls is a non-profit social enterprise based right here in Nashville, Tennessee," she said.
The non-profit was founded in 2005 and has distributed 30 million shoes in the past decade.
Now, they've acquired "Dignity U Wear," an apparel charity out of Jacksonville, Florida.
"And with the recent acquisition of dignity you wear, we're taking all of their inventory into our warehouse, so we'll be able to expand our reach of donations domestically as well as internationally."
