NASHVILLE, Tenn. – It's a question most adopted children deal with at some point: who are their biological parents? One middle Tennessee Man went 49 years without an answer to that question, but at Nashville International Airport Sunday, that all changed.

Dave Bussard has been a radio DJ from Sparta whose mom had put him up for adoption when he was six months old. She was only 17 at the time, and had to finish high school.

Dave never knew his biological mom for 49 years, until they found each other on Facebook back in April. They exchanged texts and had been calling each other back and forth, but they had never met face-to-face until his mom arrived at the airport this weekend.

“I'm excited to get to know his family, I’m excited to get to know his children, to get to know his mom,” Said Patty Matthews, Bussard’s biological mother. “I'm so thankful to his parents for raising him, he's a good guy.”

Dave and Patty said they plan to go through Dave's old photo albums and keepsakes over the next week while she visits him.
