Just because it's chilly outside, doesn't mean you can't enjoy a tropical get-away! SoundWaves at Gaylord Opryland -- the nation's first upscale water park -- is now open for business.
"Bringing music into SoundWaves is very important. It's right inside the name and it's built in Nashville, in Music City, so what we've done is we've taken music and we brought it directly to some of the attractions," said SoundWaves General Manager David Andrews.
SoundaWaves is more than 100,000 square feet of water attractions and activities.
He says guests of the hotel will now enjoy indoor surfing, rapid and lazy rivers, activity pools and private cabana rentals.
The temperature is steamy, sitting at a balmy 84-degrees, so you can sunbathe year around.
The construction isn't over. Outdoor seasonal features are set to open Summer 2019.
