COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – A man has been arrested and charged in an ongoing shooting investigation in White County.

Officials with the White County Sheriff’s Office, 13th District Attorney General, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said they arrested 52-year-old Charles Fisher of Sparta Friday morning.

The arrest was in connection to the shooting of a 25-year-old man Thursday night in the driveway of a home in the 800 block of Levon Sparkman Road. The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.

Agents said they developed information throughout an investigation that led them to one of the home’s occupants, identified as Fisher.

Fisher was charged with one count of attempted second degree murder. He was booked into the White County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
