GALLATIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — Special needs students in Sumner County were given a fun day full of superheroes.
The "Every Kid is a Hero" day gave high school CDC students a day full of superhero activities, plus custom comic books featuring a surprise main character: themselves.
Teachers said they used the event to make each student feel important and give them confidence.
"We can all change the world with just a few acts of kindness," said teacher, Drew Van Huss.
The city of Gallatin officially declared today as "Every Kid Is A Hero Day."
