Drivers have turned a speeding sign in a Spring Hill neighborhood into a joke, or even worse a dangerous competition.
That's what neighbors want to know, after someone taped a piece of paper over a radar speed sign on Campbell Station Parkway in Spring Hill.
Right above the digital readout that displays a vehicle's current speed, the makeshift sign read "High Score: 94."
The speed limit in the neighborhood is only 20.
Police and neighbors say even *if* the sign was meant as a prank, they're worried others might take it as a challenge in the future... in a neighborhood packed with kids!
"Just the idea of putting that speed limit up will maybe induce somebody else to actually do it and I don't think that would be good at all," said Ben Williams.
Spring Hill police said the speed sign belongs to a nearby home owner's association, and because the sign itself wasn't damaged, there's nothing they can charge anyone with right now.
