NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — After a weekend of warmth that felt more like early Summer than early spring, we've got some changes on the way.

Warm conditions with high in the 80s will stick around through Wednesday afternoon, with cooler air arriving for Thursday and Friday. Along the way our rain/storm chances will increase also.

The key thing to know about our rain chances for the next three days is that the activity will be very spotty. Like swiss cheese - spotty with only a few showers/storms expected on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The tricky part is that while storms won't be widespread what does develop may be on the strong to severe side with gusty wind and hail the main concerns. The primary area for a few strong to severe storms will be along and North of I-40 on Tuesday.

The risk becomes more widespread late Wednesday night as a cold front moves across the mid-state.
