Spring Hill Police ID Fatal Shooting Suspect

Police have identified the suspect in a fatal shooting from over the weekend in Williamson County.

The incident happened Sunday at a home on Iroquois Drive in Thompson’s Station.

Officers were called to the scene at 1:38 p.m. and found a victim in the garage who had suffered a single gunshot wound.

He was identified as 35-year-old Phillip Pero, of Hohenwald.

Police said other people in the house heard the suspect - identified as 34-year-old James Rush Huddleston, of Murfreesboro - make statements regarding the shooting and saw him flee from the residence.

A warrant for his arrest has been issued, charging Huddleston with criminal homicide.

He has since been added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Most Wanted list. They said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police said he may be traveling with a small child and his girlfriend, 22-year-old Victoria Phillips. He allegedly fled the scene in a 1997 Red Cadillac Seville with a faded hood and aftermarket wheels.

TBI officials said he's 5’11” and weighs approximately 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
