NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police in Spring Hill are looking to identify a man who allegedly posed as an officer.

The man reportedly approached a woman in a Target parking lot at around 10 a.m. Thursday.

Police said he told her she “fit the description of a suspect that robbed the Sherwin Williams” in Spring Hill.

He then asked for her driver’s license. She gave it to him but police said he did nothing with it.

He did not show any type of police ID, badge, or insignia.

Authorities described him as an Asian male between 5’7 to 5’9 tall and was wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and a black shirt. He also has a freckle on his left cheek, near his eye.

Police said he was driving what appeared to be a gray, newer-model Ford Focus four-door hatchback.

A person with a similar description and vehicle description also allegedly damaged the security fence surrounding the water tower at Hardin’s Landing around noon the same day.
