Police in Springfield asked for the public's help in their search for a shooting suspect.
It happened at 500 Skyview Terrace A building when Toyvious Landell Babb got in a fight with another man.
Several witnesses told police stated the two men were fighting in the breezeway when the victim slapped Babb in the side of the face.
Babb allegedly pulled out a handgun and began firing while the other male was running away. The victim was hit twice - once in the upper thigh and once in the buttocks.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and expected to survive, but Babb got away before police got to the scene.
