Officer were able to peacefully end a standoff situation in Mt. Juliet.
Friday evening, Mt. Juliet Police officers responded to a call about a man threatening to harm himself inside his Faulkner Lane home.
When they got to the scene, he came out of the home with a rifle, asking officers to shoot him.
At one point, he went back inside and fired one shot.

About a half hour later, he came out un-armed and was taken to the hospital.
