NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Friday was “Force Friday;” the big reveal and release of the first toys from the upcoming Star Wars movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Friday also kicked off “toy week” at Walmart, which included hundreds of the Star Wars film.

"Force Friday" technically started at midnight as stores all around the world opened their doors early to sell the new merchandise.

The toys included lightsabers, legos, and even a flyable drone version of the "millennium falcon," but items also included food and hygiene items.

The merchandise aimed to appeal to all demographics from the young to old.

“We have merchandise from all over the store, everything from mac and coffee creamer, to mouthwash and make up,” said Walmart Manager, Steve Williams.

The Star Wars items were also released in Target, the Disney Store, and Amazon.
