A Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper was hit by a commercial vehicle near the Hickman and Dickson County line.
According to Sergeant Travis Plotzer with THP, the incident happened on Interstate 40 eastbound at mile marker 161 in Dickson near Highway 48 at 10:48 p.m.
The crash was cleared by 3 a.m. All eastbound lanes were closed while crews investigated at the scene.
The trooper's identity and condition were unknown, as well as the details surrounding the incident.
According to those with THP, the trooper was treated and released from Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
