Officials said four people were killed in a house explosion and fire in southern Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police Trooper Billy Gregory said the explosion was reported around 1:30 p.m. CST Tuesday a few miles east of Columbia in Adair County. The fire was still burning several hours later, and Gregory said no one was able to get inside the single-family home to search for others.
Adair County Deputy Coroner Greg Mann said initially three of the victims who lived in the log house on M. Coomer Road hadn't been found.
Wednesday, authorities confirmed all four bodies had been found. Two of the victims were found outside of the home, while the other two were found inside.
The victims had not been identified. Their remains had been taken to the State Medical Examiner's office.
Authorities said the cause of the explosion was still under investigation.
