BOURBON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX News) — Former Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin was ordered on Friday by a Louisville judge to serve out a 60-day sentence in connection to an ongoing child support case in Jefferson County.
Jefferson County Judge Angela Johnson had previously filed a warrant for Bevin's arrest in June after he failed to present financial documents in connection to the case. Under that warrant, he is required to serve the sentence and pay a $500 fine.
Johnson also denied a request from Bevin's attorneys to serve his sentence from his home or reduce it.
"You have shown this court that you are not going to do what you're ordered to do because you don't think it should be this way," Johnson said.
She went on to tell Bevin that she would "not allow you to taint the entirety of this court or any court with that kind of behavior."
Bevin was arrested on Thursday by Bourbon County police, and was later booked into the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections following his arrest.

According to the Bourbon County Sheriff's Dept., the former governor, who served from 2015 to 2019, was arrested on a Paris movie set where he was playing an extra.
LISTEN: In dispatch audio obtained by LEX News, a caller can be heard telling Bourbon County Dispatch that Bevin was working on set.
"I am not sure if ex-Governor Matt Bevin still has an arrest warrant out for him for missing court in July, but he is currently in Paris, Kentucky and I have an address," the caller said.
