More than two dozen animals have started getting the love they need after being rescued from neglectful conditions in Morgan County.

Those with the Animal Rescue Corps rushed to the scene Friday along with local authorities.

They said 20 dogs and other animals, including miniature donkeys and a potbellied pig, were found without food or water in extremely poor conditions.

The property owner has been arrested and charged with 18 counts of animal cruelty.

Those animals were taken to an emergency shelter in Lebanon where they have been receiving medical care.

The animals have been set to stay there until they can be transferred to a shelter or rescue organization.
