Two men were dead and a Memphis police officer was slightly injured following an hours-long standoff.
Multiple media outlets reported the incident took place at a Hickory Hill home on Tuesday evening.
Police were called to the residence after receiving a call from a woman saying her son had killed his brother. Police said minutes later, the suspect called 911 and admitted that he did kill his brother.
Police responded to the home, where authorities said the suspect shot at officers, striking the boot of 32-year-old Officer Jason Winburn. The bullet did not penetrate his skin.
The suspect then barricaded himself inside the home.
Memphis police spokeswoman Sergeant Karen Rudolph said the suspect and his brother were both found dead after police entered the home about three hours later.
